Lie with me here in this broken plight
In the wake of the world's rough wrath.
Bear me my sorrows and bring me some joy,
I'm cold, so cold.
Sleep with me here in this frozen room
In the pool of life's swift graces.
In the aftermath, soak up my blood.
I'm cold, so cold.
Bathe with me here in this gentle fear
In the smoke of my anger's embers.
Stay with me here in this softened fear
In the dawn hold me near your skin.
Keep me and hold me and lose me not,
I'm cold, so cold.
