I heard your voice again today
I saw you in a stranger's face
I searched for you in a distant crowd
I listened to the memories,so loud
Someone called out your precious name
I know I'll never be the same
And I wonder why I have no friends
Inside I know, this has to end
So, this is the last remembered love song that I'll write
It's the last time that I'll think of you
But this paper knows, I'll read it every night
To be sure that every word's still true

I like this, especially the last stanza and how you stated it. Well done, and may your road rise up.
