Existence, like strands of a spiders web, ripped apart
Life, magical yet delicate, cast to the wind
Destruction in the name of a cause, causes despair
Unfinished stories, premature ending as the ink ran dry
Broken glass, wreckage strewn by the deadliest sin
Thou shalt not kill but this is their sport
Those not affected by the pain or by the loss
Still sickened from the atrocity, affected by the scars
Deep is the wound though the heart still beats
A city lies bleeding, gored by the terrorist beast
Uncertainty, confusion, chaos takes the reigns
Then slowly the horror, realised, drains the city streets
You see your crime as justice, appointed holy task
My eyes see only butchery, mere slaughter randomized
With pride do you survey your work, is honour satisfied ?
Does a steel clad heart let you walk away, unaffected and cold ?
We shall not yield in the valley of death
Let the serpent coil and choke
We will rise again, through the black of today
Our spirit will shine again with the face of tomorrow

This is an excellent, emotionally bold write and I commend you for it. Well done. Wonderful use of expression, especially the last stanza...

Remarkably said. I too find it horrific that anyone could kill and believe that it is their calling, or their god's will. I love the way you expressed America's strong disgust for these awful acts of violence through this poem. Good job. Keep writing. |

Powerful words, and I say, Amen!
With pride do you survey your work, is honour satisfied ?
Does a steel clad heart let you walk away, unaffected and cold ?
Those words hit like a spearhead. Well said.

Hopefully the world powers will see now that this carnage must stop. The terrorists hold the world in fear constantly and we never know where they will hit next. Maybe now the oil will not be so important and they will go after Bin Laden and Al-Quida and wipe them off the face of the map. The people of the world will go on in spite of them and the hope we all have in our hearts for continued freedom with live and spread throught the world. Blessings to those gone and injured today in London. Rita |

A magnificant write. Powerful, questioning and a total reaction to the insanity of it all. Hats off to you my friend you have captured every hearts anger in devine wording. |
