Walking

I can feel it inside of me
The horror wants to break free
Snap through my chest
Swallow the world whole
But something is holding me back
And I keep remaining in the same place.
Walking to an empty train station.
Walking back to an empty house.
In this surreal world where everything is the same
Everyone does the same things over and over
Walking; in a continuous circle.
We are going nowhere.

i read somewhere that a human can only be alone for some length of time before they start to lose their mind. and this poem captures it perfectly |
