Lovers & Strangers

Lovers & Strangers
~~~~
What makes strangers search for friends?
Why do things end before they begin?
When two lonely souls enter the night
Love can be found at first sight
But all too quickly it fades away
With the coming of a new day
When flesh meets flesh between the sheets
All the built-up passion seems to meet
Yet in the morning it’ll all be gone
Without a commitment or a bond
And once again you’re all alone
And the loneliness has all but grown
When will the lesson ever be learned?
That to a stranger you should never turn
For what you seek will not be received
For empty love will up and leave
And once again you’ll reach the door
And enter the loneliness you felt before
