I should have confessed,
You made me feel so worthless.
A long time since I felt so much hurt,
I felt like my only comfort.
I was so vulnerable and naked,
My self esteem dented.
You didn’t understand my defensive body language,
I couldn’t tell you because of my lack of courage.
I wanted to cry,
So you could see my lie.
My tears abandoned me, just like you,
That is why I withdrew.
It felt like you left when you were still there,
It was a strange feeling I could not bear.
I don’t want to push you away,
I want you to stay.
I am messed up, you already know,
You found out some time ago.
To understand me is going to take a lot,
Can you stay no matter what?
Can you handle my mood swings?
And everything that they bring?
Can you be the one to save me?
Is that who you want to be

I felt this write grew stronger with each verse. You did a fairly good job of expressing yourself. Nicely done.

Deep yet revealing well written and firm in it's conviction, splendid poetry a good balance of real reality and longing for . . .
