A Meal For Worms

Contributed by espeeayzee on Wednesday, 6th July 2005 @ 09:40:22 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

here i sit

with nothing to say
but these words that come through
in real time

nothing of real importance do I find
unless analyzed
by the readers eye

a thoughtless mind
expells all theory
for those with eagerness to learn

but to me
learning
is the act of placing an
item in your garage
not to be touched until it is moved

tell me
what can come out of a mind
that yearns for silent tranquility
but tempted
by a society which thrives on chaos?

what comes out of
an array of thoughts
and words that I know
to be placebo?

I guess
my entertainment comes from those
who pick words apart
like vultures,
feeding their minds
with food that
digests and passes in days
only to find
it was just ***** to begin with

I would compare
these empty words
to an exhaust
that contributes to
atmospheric pollution

why you ask do
I continue to speak if I
provoke intellectual contamination?

because
when birds are able to soar
with the void
they know that pollution
is an illusion

and the worms
that feed from it
are one step closer
to prime bait
