No Longer I Fear

I never had much of a chance
To show you how I feel
For fear overtook me whenever
I would realize, this is real

I never was given the opportunity
For some time one on one
Because when I was just beginning
The others were more than done

I never changed anything
Now I regret that cost
For my childish worries and cares
Caused all my past times to go lost

I never would take any risks
For I was afraid to fall
But now I see I’ve changed
Since I was put through it all

I told you how I felt
I received some time alone
Without me this world would be different
I’ve fallen and got back up on my own

And no longer am I afraid of you
For I know you are my friend
Yet I do not fear losing you
Because I know I’d still meet you in the end…
