The tables have turned,
You used to love me,
But I did not you.
You used to care,
But I did not dare

I had my chance
But I blew it.
I had my true love,
Not that I knew it.

I pushed you and tossed you,
And threw you away.
Then begged and pleaded you
To come back and stay.

And then once again,
I pushed you away.
Didn’t show that I cared.
Still haven’t dared.

I made an empty promise,
I said I wouldn’t screw up.
I told you I would show you.
That I wouldn’t muck up.

But I didn’t.
I didn’t show you.
And now you’re gone.
And I love you more then ever.

I wish…I wish….
