Running

Contributed by worldsenigma on Tuesday, 5th July 2005 @ 09:36:50 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

i am running
away
away from the rain
that with each drop screams your name
you were always there for me
but i was not for you
now i wish i could take that day back
but theres nothing i can do
they told me you were depressed
and that you'd found no other way
they said they found a letter
that said you wanted to say
how you felt that you were hated
unappreciated
and insecure
i could've been the one to save you
i know i could
I'm sure

water
his weapon of choice
he forced himself to drown
knowing no one was around
to drown
having your lungs fill with water
until you suffocate
or they burst
which ever happens first
but that doesn't matter
what matter's is he's dead

my question is why
why would he do such a thing as to commit
suicide
i hear that word
and i can't help but think
what was he trying to hide
and why wasn't i by his side
protecting him
helping him
trying to talk to him
so that i could answer all of these questions that run rapid in my mind
trying to find
that answer
that key
that you keeped locked away so dear

so hear i am
leaving this place and never looking back
dodging all these raindrops
that never seem to stop
like these pictures inside my head
that keep me lost in thought
as these raindrops keep on falling
and these thoughts i keep on thinking
until i can find my answers
i will forever be...
running.

Life's outcome is something
we can never change
For if god wanted you thier you would
you have been. Never blame yourself
stand and take these emotions
cause to move forward you must
confront the past. Good expressing of feelings

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
