The Enchanted Passage

Contributed by gwenevere on Tuesday, 5th July 2005 @ 04:29:20 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

She found the door, hidden so well
And on the lock, there hung a spell
She spoke the words and was made small
To enter, she could not be tall

The golden key fit in it's place
The door opened with ease and grace
And as the lady stepped inside
she found the passage, long and wide

The door then closed with a loud thump
So loud it really made her jump
Now, how was she supposed to see
Down that long passage, in the tree

Then all at once from out the gloom
She heard a sound,a zing, a zoom
A million starlights showed the way
They were just fireflies, out to play

She clapped her hands with sheer delight
At that most amazing sight
But of course she didn't know
What was waiting, far below

These are great every time I read them. Too bad I am reading them backwards. Even with that I am so into them. These are great...
