Well it was nearly 21 years ago
You gave birth to me.
To think that is almost half of your whole life,
That I've been your son.
Together we've seen many things come and go
Your loves, and grandma.
Step-dads a step-brother, changes in address,
Numerous changes.
The birth of the pain, and the little princess.
You put up with me.
I put up with your humor and goulash (ugh!)
(Sometimes a good joke)
You deal with financial problems all the time.
I deal with mine.
We helped eachother through unemployment (ugh!),
And family death.
We laugh at all the stupid things the pain does,
But we're there for him.
We know eachother well enough to read minds.
All I want to say,
Is thanks for everything you've done for me.
Thank you so much mom.
