The Lady and The Forest

Contributed by gwenevere on Monday, 4th July 2005 @ 03:31:56 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

The lady wandered down the lane
In the distance she saw a flame
Curious, she wandered on
Wondering where this flame came from

She came upon a strange, new land
Forest of tree's, upon the ground
A distant voice said"come on in
Come and see what lies within"

She entered there with gentle grace
Spellbound by this wondrous place
Mesmerised by ebb and flow
Of that flame in it's full glow

The soft voice spoke to her again
Welcome to my home, my den
I am guardian of the key
Watch and wait and you will see

The flame burned blue, the flame burned cool
And deep within, there swirled a pool
of magic light, flowing so free
Underneath the magic tree

The lady came of her free will
To that forest on the hill
Now she watches, waits to see
what is now her destiny
