the brisk of my wanting

Topic:
oops
|
when i had nothing to mourn
i did anyway, not knowing the difference
between the wail of autumn
and the brisk of my wanting
to come to grips. then it was
oh, love, come and restore me!
how sick i was, and lost
when brought to suffering by the smell
of coconut on someone else's
freckled skin. but-
oh, love, come and resurrect me
blinking my eyes and stretching my legs,
so that this can be a feeling
with no memory attached.
