A Life of Red

Contributed by Beni on Monday, 4th July 2005 @ 10:33:08 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Left in darkness,
Why do I do this?
Life is just a pit of lies,
And I am trapped in the middle.

So many lies,
I can't escape,
Never-ending thoughts,
The never leave me alone.

I let the red river,
Inside of me flow,
Setting all my troubles free,
Into the outside world.

Strangers staring,
Red stripes across my wrist,
They judge me,
and I'm dying inside.

Will no one help me?
All they do is stare,
Stare at what could soon be,
My suicide.

I would have agreed with you, maybe, two months ago.
Then, I felt that no one really cared until they see the blood flow, and that deep down, they are cold robots, feeling nothing that we so painfully try to restrain.
However, I guess, that its in what point of view we look at. Slashing our wrists will only bring pain upon ourselves and since no one would even ever care, we're seriously wasting our time and effort, or whatevr..
Good luck to you, and I really like your poem.
:)

One must hold on to hope, for there are those who care. Maybe it's your pain that keeps you moving forward, but please hold fast to tomorrow.

Blessings
