In you I see nothing I’d like to partake in.
Yet everything I’m supposed to be.
Long, straight, shiny blonde hair,
and teal blue eyes looking at me.
All these things you only think I wear.
Like tight, revealing, too short clothes,
Shoes that flop when you walk,
and for some reason show your toes.
Happy, perky, clean white smile.
You’d think I was truly content.
You think I’d love to show off
all the money that I’ve spent.
You’d be amazed at how your plans can go so wrong,
how everything can just get worse.
But keep going in that direction,
follow that illusion.
It’s just a mirror in reverse.
