Stuck on Replay

Contributed by pUnKa_RaCh on Sunday, 3rd July 2005 @ 10:37:22 PM in AEST
Topic: hbadday

Why wake to see tomorrow
Why wake to see today
When life repeats itself
Like being stuck on replay

I’ve been here before…
You’ve said this to me…

Stuck on replay
This is all I’ll ever be

I’ve seen these walls…
I’ve been trapped in here before…

I’ve already questioned this
And I’ve always wanted more

I’ve walked down this road…
I’ve bled all I can…

The searching never stops
And I’ve cried as I’ve ran

My heart is still dying…
Too long have I tasted these tears..

I’ve felt every feeling
And I’ve been silenced by these fears

Life is too mundane
These colours are all the same
The picture never changes
In its dull and morbid frame

Please someone just press rewind
Take me off this tiring replay
Light my world in rainbows again
Take me back to a better day

Nice, creative use of expression in this piece...You laid this out quite well, and I especially liked the last two stanzas---they were great! Keep em coming!!
