R.I.P. Aunt Sandy

Contributed by BloodyTearDrops on Sunday, 3rd July 2005 @ 07:45:21 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

I remember it like yesterday,
My dad was at the Race Way.

Me and my mom and Grandma
Were getting ready to call my Grandpa.

Then the door bell rang,
Then I fell as I heard the tv saying, "Bang Bang."

I sat down and began to cry,
As i let out a big sigh.

My Grandma answered the door,
Then she heard the news and then she fell to the floor.

I looked over to her to see,
My Grandma laying there so carefree.

My mom ran to her side,
Where she also began to cry.

I looked at the man in the door.
My heart was unsure.

Then he nodded to me,
Then every thing got all blurry.

I ran to my family
Then we got in the car to drive to the Country.

We told me dad,
His face looked so sad.

As he said
“I can’t believe is dead.
.............................................

To my Aunt Sandy. May she rest in peace.
I am sad to say it will be nine years this July 4.
I love you Aunt Sandy. I will see you so very soon!!

This is a very simplistic write, though I found it pretty powerful...
Was very touching and sad, and through all its simplicity, brought tears to my eyes n all..

*hugs tight*

Whenever you need someone to talk to, I'm here, okay?

May she rest in peace..

Keep your chin up n keep writin' !

It is sad to lose the ones we love but they want us to go on and enjoy the life we have and they watch over us to make sure we see happiness.
Continue your travels in life and let her see you happy and enjoying life as she did. That is the gift we can give them. Hugs....
