Brass Irony
I/'/ve heard SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE
but I/'/m so slow, sometimes I have to speed up the stop
I enjoy food that grows from the ground
But I/'/m so tired sometimes, that I don/'/t want to get up
I/'/ve been told that I/'/m lucky because of my condition, people have to be nice to me
Tell me-would it be nice to be trapped in your own body?
I/'/ve been told, IF YOU DON/'/T LIKE WHAT YOU ARE WATCHING, CHANGE THE CHANNEL
But it/'/s impossible to erase the mages that are already in my head
I/'/ve told people over and over again, DON/'/T LIE, CHEAT OR STEAL
and while explaining this I tell them stories of when I lied, cheated, or stole
Growing up I worried, fearful I wouldn/'/t have things that other people had
Now I realize-The less I have, the more worry free I am
I used to have a never ending desire to please other people
Now, I/'/m most at peace when I tell people the truth
