Petrachan Sonnet
A painting angel, rainbow’s mind aglow,
As Iris brings from sky those perfect dreams
That dreamed Olympus; she, the go-between,
Articulating heaven here below -
So her who knows in rainbows, whose will goes
With mystic colors on the artist’s stream,
Providing earth what erstwhile was unseen
Until her blessing hand lets others know.
A soul composed of such fantastic lights
Could only find a house such as hers is:
Like goes to like, her seeing and her sight
Show beauty, in and out, are in congress.
Such as the stars illuminating night,
The graces she bestows are both eyes’ bliss.
