Hey Dad Hey Dad
Can you hear me
It's your son James
Speaking to you
From way down below
Not much to say
Just missing you
I wanted to show you
The early Christmas gifts
I bought just for you
As you can see
They are all brand new
A suit and a tie
See how they match your eyes
A pair of shoes
Because I was hoping for some better news
As your mom used to say
"Don't you worry"
Someday soon
I'll be out your way
I'll drop them off
Spend the day
The next time we meet
Will be a much brighter day
Until then
I'll be missing you
