My lovely sun
Blue turns to gray,
which turns to black
My summertime sky
needs to pick up the slack
The sun that once
shined so bright
Gave up, turned away
and lost its fight
My lovely sun
was once not so afraid,
Now all it feels like doing
is hiding in the darkness of shade
Its lost all confidence
in its beauty
The shimmering of orange and red
is its duty
For when will my beautiful sun
love itself like I do?
