Happy Thanksgiving 2015


We give thanks on this day
counting our blessings one by one
We gather with family and friends
feasting so hearty until the day is done

This is a time
when families rejoice each year
Where apologies are accepted
where thoughts and feelings are very sincere

Let’s give thanks
for the food and freedom of our land
On this day
let’s lend family and friends a helping hand

Thanksgiving is but once a year
a time we rejoice when we eat
It’s when we bake so many pies and cakes
and fall asleep in our seat

The men watch football
the women gather and chat
When it’s time to clean the dishes
all the men will scat

All in all
I say Happy Thanksgiving to you all today
May the Lord bless you
that’s all I would like to say
