the world was and is mad the first thought
the domino

dark and slippery
almost black
wind pulling
through trees

the low etch
of thunder
the sudden
silk of rain

tipping over
memories

knocks over
knocks over
knocks over
my sharp edges

the storm passes
the past fades
the rain is and was
pouring.
