A SLUMBER OF THE SENTRIES a slumber of the sentries...
allowing them to dream widely of the world
may they forever guard the entries
mindful of the hail-stones that the enemy has hurled

a slumber of the sentries...
pulling them away, and beyond the shooting stars
they will stand by, and tall, for centuries
observant of the planet known to them as Mars

a slumber of the sentries...
sleep, sleep, sleep... sleep eternal now
may you find this rest a peasantry
as the final curtain closes, yet no one knew to bow...
