gates of my heart You broke the locks on this heart of mine
planned out your entrance, took your time
Broke down the walls of my tortured soul
always said that you'd heal my woes
But it didn't go as you'd hoped
I ended up wounded and alone
Bleeding out as my heart lay cracked
tears strolling down my face, facing the facts
Sheets covered in horrible sorrow
crying out like theres no tomorrow
Thinking of you once again
I need you, my best friend
Picking up my phone once more
I'd had a thought i've never had before
Maybe you'd come back to me
If I let you go and set you free
