Shadows of love How can it be that when I look into your eyes
Into my own reflection
That the detection of love
Takes me by surprise?

Before I'd think it could be true
I take it for a lie
Some misjudgment and deny
The possibility of misconstrue.

There'll come a time when you'll think clearer
And when you will finally agree
What you'll see then is what I will have seen
For ages in the mirror

I never meant to tell you lies
I simply dreamed it could be real
And these shadows of a feeling
For your keenest soul sufficed
