I Will Stay By You I've run away from your side
I've tried to deny your ways,
Satisfying my own
What did I profit from Waywardness
Was the escape truly worth it

Surely it was not, Oh Lord
For the more I tried to please myself,
the more I broke myself Down
I found bondage in what looked freeing
What destruction one can bring To the soul

But I came back, and will stay By You
For you are my true hope, my Peace and joy
You know my heart and ways,
And will guide them evermore
Yes, lead me Lord, for your path Is perfect
It is a pleasure for me to say I Will stay by You
