Drunken Song
Drunken Song
Singing along with a jug of ale in hand
The room is spinning and I find it hard to stand
my feet appart leaning gainst the bar
I dare not wander from too far.
Woe to thre world, woe to thre band
slurring the words, woe to thre maiden
I grab and kiss with my left hand.
She pushes me away, making me sway.
And cops the ale from the jug that I spray
now my ale spill t I need to buy another
I turn to the bar and slam the jug down
calling the bar tender “GIVE ME ANOTHER CROWN”!
“Cause I have some sorrows to drown”.
I need to forget today by tomorrow
cause the old hag will start to nag
causing me to return to the bar again
by morrow.
As I pay, I find it funny
that we always argue over bloody money!
She says that the bills just keep coming
and you from our home just keep running.
Her Man she keeps bagging
I give her almost all
and silently hope
that she will stop nagging.
