Metaphorical Meteor - The Day She Left
A meteor hitting earth
a blood red moon in the sky
I never even thought
it would be the day my mother would die
Metaphorically speaking
a meteor did hit my world today
A blood red moon to remember
when my mother went away
My heart weighs heavy
as severe sadness churns through me
I feel a severely deep loss
this day I never wanted to see
Torn apart
a deep crater within
Lost in emotion
as this new day does begin
Letting her go
is something I have to do
She is now gone
I just have to believe it’s true
27 September 2015
the whole world changed on this day
My dear mother ascended to the heavens
from her pain, the good lord took her away
Many tears have been shed for you
your loss to us is sad, but you have no more pain
I love you and miss you so much
your loving son Wayne
