Kiss me Goodnight The day left me battered, exhausted and old;
Tired, discouraged, wordless and cold.

My patience used up, my spirit depleted;
Standing, just barely, a warrior defeated.

Your warm wrinkled hand reaches for mine;
At the end of each day, time after time.

The world has no meaning when I知 in your arms.
It pales and withdraws, and I知 safe from all harm.

The sound of your breath is love痴 lullaby;
Cradling this child while the night passes by.

Tomorrow I値l waken to fight a new fight;
Knowing you値l be there to kiss me goodnight.
