Speak your heart
She died today. She’s gone away. No longer can you find her;
She’ll not write here, or comment there. She left you far behind her.
No good-byes, no time for sighs, too soon fate closed the door;
Everything you may have said will never come to fore.
For all we know, loved ones may go before our love is cast;
Will we regret , love’s unpaid debt, and hold it til the last?
Or shall we vow to speak it now; and waste love on the living?
Face to face; uneuligized, in spite of fierce misgivings?
Trust yourself to share just once the words you know you mean to;
For love unspent cannot repent the silences between you.
