Underestimated
I take your body mind and soul, and your heart, with a grain of salt.
Though I give you credit, where credit is due, but I do not hang on every word you say.
I cannot rely on the air of illusions,
every time you cross my mind,
I wonder when the facts backfire their proof,
to find out your not telling me the truth.
One day is cloud nine, the next is rock bottom, and I'm still the observant fool I always was,
with a listening ear and a few words of reciprocation.
I suppose a good heart always deceives itself.
