Sometimes I Write No love just disdain
Sometimes lingers
Sometimes stays

Words that predict prey
Digest the heart after
everything else has been
maimed
Hurt worst than bruises
But eventually those go
away
Full of wrath we coward
Then we shower to try
to wash it all away
Then we cave

Empty cigarettes
A full ashtray
The smell
Sometimes lingers
