I Met You This Sunday I met you this Sunday
On my TV screen
It may have been brief
But I got to know thee in a very special way

I was amazed at your strength
Your will to live
Flourish and succeed
Willingness to just be

I was captured by your soul
Worried all the same
That the candle God lit
Would grow tired and old

You are so young and vibrant
Beautifully free
Far too young
To die at just twenty-three

Although we have never met
I feel for you all the same
I sat and prayed to the powers that be
You would beat this thing and be healthy again.

You touched my heart
Through a TV screen
God works in mysterious ways
I wish you love, life, and longevity
