Ill-Fated Love
The optimistic outcome
of an ill-fated love
So many years blinded
now asking for help from God above
No Idea where things have gone wrong
realizing I have been off track for a while
If I knew this love was doomed
I still would be in denial
As I sit back and think
denial is the world around me
I've tried so hard to be happy
but a fraudulent smile just won’t let me be
How is it that we build a palace
with a heart full of hopes and dreams
Then our vision is cleared
and nothing we have is really what it seems
True love and everlasting love
with the right person is hard to find
Spending many years in life
trying to find a special person without being blind
The outcome is usually not optimistic
of any love gone bad
Sometimes we just have to make life the best
and get over what we had
Doomed for a reason
which you may just not know
It will not always be easy
but you just have to let it go
No need to go hide in a cave
or bring your life to an end
Just find happiness in living
and listen to the wisdom of any a friend
