Say A Little Prayer For Me

Say a little prayer for me
something very important is about to come my way
I have already said my prayers
but your prayers too, could really help me on this day

It’s not that I am over religious
I just have my beliefs that get me through
My belief in God above
is why I often say prayers for each of you

Nobody really knows
what comes after this life we live each day
All we really know is the stories told
and what each preacher has to say

Some people have no belief
the stories to them are just so unreal
For them it’s just so awkward to kneel and pray
to someone imaginary being, in this life that’s not real

From personal experience
the presence of God was real
His spirit saved me
it was something I really did feel

One day I could have fallen
five stories to the ground
Something stopped me from what I was doing
it told me to turn around

One step further
I would have fallen to the ground to die
The safety bar was not installed
why I turned around I still question why

The only answer that can be given
is that God was by my side that day
So when you say a little pray for me
many prayers will be returned your way
