Unresolved Secrets Of The Mind
Telephone is ringing
driving me insane
and I am slowly starting to realize
that
everyday is the same,
in my mind
voices are whispering
letting me know
the stench of a lifetime
never really fades.
I'm just a shadow
another face in the crowd
hiding from the minions of evil
who drink from the blood
of cripple pilgrims as they drown,
off balance I exist in the life
staggering around dazed and confused
as the carousel spins me 'round and 'round.
I have a little drink
and a moment of regret
I think about it
as I smoke a cigarette...
Footsteps echo down the hall
breaking up the silence
here
in the prison I created
that I am living in,
there's a smell that lingers
that's driving me insane....
Roll call
I stand in line
and the nurse smiles
as she gives me my medicine,
there's a disturbance in the confusion
hope the meds kick in
before the emotional torture begins.
Muscles constrict
oh no
here we go again,
I'll think about
as I smoke another cigarrette.
