My Beautiful Book
My Beautiful Book
If all the books in all the world were sitting on a shelf,
There's just one book that I would want selected for myself.
Then it would be the greatest book that I have ever known,
For it was written specially for me myself alone.
A book that stands out from the rest to make an author proud.
A book that's surely stood the test of every type of crowd.
A book that never will grow old, it'd wisdom held in store.
A book that when you've read it once, will draw you back once more.
A literary masterpiece, unequalled in it's day.
With mighty truths laid bare to view, the author has his say.
When ere a heart is touched like this, a life is bound to change.
Perhaps you think it could not be or that such thoughts are strange.
No longer do we wonder why we live in such an age,
Or why life treats us like we are just puppets on a stage.
We find within that endless joy and state of peaceful bliss.
With humour in it's purest form sweet as an angels kiss.
This book has got a special charm which captivates the soul.
For in it are such chosen words uplifting, pure and whole.
It speaks of spirit and of wit in lines of verse and rhyme.
Immortalized forever in the hands of space and time.
There never could be another so valued and so prized,
If you are wondering what I mean I would not be surprised.
I think that you would love it too, at least that is my bet.
But where is it you ask of me? Well I have not written it yet.
