Please God I stare out my window
Thinking of how things might have been
I feel so sad, empty and void

Life is passing me by
With each sweep of the clocks hand

I want to feel
Alive once again
Sort of like a little boy at Christmas
With a brand new toy

A reason to be
Not some God forsaken
Want to be

I reach out for hope
But no one is there
I get nothing in return
But the thin air

Please God I pray
Give me a reason to be
I want to make the most of
What you have given to me
