A leap of faith
A leap of faith is never clear
It’s something I have always feared
It’s more than just my blackest night
The thing I’ve done to see the light
Will I be able to make it thru
And come to the other side with you
Are will I stay lost and never see
The things that have divided me
I go ahead and take that plunge
Making my way thru all the grunge
With fingers and nails I claw at the black
While I try to find the thing that I lack
The things I see are horrible to me
They all grow from my thorny tree
It comes from the ground there is no earth
It sprouts from a place that I have berthed
It suckles from collective thoughts
Of memories gone but will not halt
Why do I let it torture me
Thus thorns from that hideous tree
I know I will never make it thru
But at lest I have stud with you
I’ve finally found that place in time
Where I understand why I am blind
I say to those that tack the leap
Know the things that you have reaped
Tack care in how you carry them
Because most will have a thorny lem
