Wishes Wishes are words writing a dreamer's prayer
Boundaries that often lay their soul bare
Sounds that echo the promises yet to be
Designs drawn that only they can see

Wish upon this as they dream the other
No time or room for life's actual bother
Walking in air built from a cloud's vapor
No bottom for their feet to secure anchor

Wishes holding a promise of golden skies
Wishes carrying truths only a believer spies
Reality's a cumbersome, boring chore
Wishes ignore it as they slam its door

Don't lament what yesterday didn't contain
Wish for more than the future can sustain
Dreamers recite the present's one prayer
May life guide them to time's delicious fare

Don't diminish what a wish imagines today
A true believer's story could be hidden away
A set of plans to build a glorious foundation
That leads to a wish's wondrous creation
