Had Things Been Different I've always wondered,
had things been different..
Who would I be today?

Would I look like I do?
Would I love God the way I do?
What would have changed?

I've often wondered,
had things been different..
Would I have fallen in love?

Would I have fallen for his smile?
Would I have been tricked by his lies?
Would I have met him at all?

I've sometimes thought about,
had things been different..
Would I be this broken?

Would I have stayed away from self-harm?
Would I have made better choices?
Would I have been happy?

Had things been different..
I wouldn't be me.
