Lost Ones The ones that are always
the closest,
the ones that never put
you down or tell you off,
the ones that can show
love,
contempt,
even malice
are the ones you trust
the most.
The pain of losing the best
of friends
stabs at the mind
like a faded memory,
blocked by years of exclusion
that haunts even the warmest
of souls.
