2013 2013, what a wild ride,

feelings and emotion

never do hide.

You excited me,

perplexed me

made me cry.

Made me laugh

jump for joy.

History books

to be written

new pathways to trod.

Spiritual awakenings

speaking with God.

A world filled with awe

and a world filled with hate.

All mixed in together

to make the year great

then not so great at times too.
Had to say goodbye to a few we so loved

in a moment they were gone

floating off with the Angels and Doves

living with God

but we still feel blue

not such fun times

2013 we will remember about you.

So tonight as the darkness is folding round you

and in mere hours from now

we shall bid you adieu

we will gather all the memories

the happy along with the sad ones too.

The new paths we found

the ones left behind us

the new memories made

and dust and ashes shade

you will go down in my journal

and be remembered in verse

so goodbye 2013

soon to be left in my dust
