She
She sent me a photo
Of herself tonight
Beautifully dressed, - surrounds
So clean, so bright
She sent it to my cellphone
I looked at it a while
Pictured there on a tiny screen
She should of seen my smile
Captured lovely, dressed in blue
Its hard to guess her height
With just a picture one inch tall
And me, with my failing sight
She may be taller in real life
I hope so for her sake
Or hows she going to hold knife & fork
And eat from a great big plate
All I know is she writes me
Like an angel on gossamer wing
Her words alight like butterflies
And make mine own heart sing
