Postie the Mailman
Postie the Mailman
Was a unionized happy soul
With good walking shoes
And no time to loose
Along the route did stroll.
Postie the Mailman
Had it pretty good you see
With steady work
And a benefit perk
Better than most of you or me
There's something now archaic
For a large deficit they found
For when they had summed it up
The Postie was outward-bound
Postie the Mailman
Was needed once you see
And the union says
Still in need today
By folks like you and me
Postie the Mailman
Knows not much in the bag today
For profuse Internet use
Did introduce
A simply better way.
Postie the Mailman
Will soon now go on 'his' way
As he waves 'Bye Bye'
I suspect he'll cry
"You'll will surely rue this day".
Grumpitty, grump, grump
Grumpitty, grump, grump
Mail boxes in a row
Grumpitty, grump, grump
Grumpitty, grump, grump
Through rain and sleet and snow
(We go)>
