It's not the same without you here It's cold and dark and stormy here
stormy as my heart.
Winter has rested near my soul
the wind my frozen breath.

An ache I wished to not feel
dreaming and waking it is still real.
The Christmas lights all blinking
with tears streaming down my face
it isn't the same here without you
no it is just not the same.

I had to give you permission to go
but oh how I wanted to keep you so.
Though years have come and gone
it just went by so fast
I didn't want it all to end
really wanted it to last.
It's not the same here without you.

You are restored back to your healthy self
I know this in my heart
I am selfish I guess, I just miss you so
an empty hole sits in my chest.
I said today,how am I going to go on,
without my sweet furry little friend?
I still don't know, I'm beside myself
watch over me sweet boy.
No, oh no it's not the same without you here.
