It Will Never Be
The warmth of her smile,
The joy of her near,
My stare into her eyes,
How is it she can’t see
How much she means to me?
Endless chat about this and that,
The laughter sounds so real,
My attention never wanes,
How can she just not see
How much she means to me?
So far and yet so near,
Like a distant snow covered peak,
I reach out and can’t quite touch,
Will she ever see
How much she means to me.
My words of admiration
Fall flat in self denial,
She is my dream lady
But still she cannot see
How much she means to me.
How do you really cope
When you wake to realise
The one you love so much
Will never really see
How much she means to me.
