An Ozark Sunday Dinner

Ma and Pa and all the family were sitting down to Sunday Dinner. Luke used his boarding house reach to acquire some bread.

Pa notes this and says, "Ma, how old do ya figure our Luke''s agettin'' to be?"

Ma replies, "I dunno Pa, I guess he''s nie on ta fourteen summers by now. Why do ya ask?"

"Well, I think we better get some pants on that boy...what I just saw him drag through the butter was downright nasty, and I can''t abide nastiness."
